Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso
Is finishing a new season of top flight competition on wheels, and as such, is already speculating who will be crowned as champion, even long before the final round is played in Abu Dhabi circuit, where he played 25 points that can support three candidates, but one more than the rest.
The truth is that Fernando Alonso has great potential to be crowned champion of Formula January 2010 and currently has 246 points, an eight on his guard Mark Webber and this, in turn, leads him 7 points to Sebastian Vettel (ie , 15 points behind the Spanish driver)
Who ranks fourth, with negligible chances, is Lewis Hamilton , who could devote only if a miracle (or a string of mechanical failures) occur in the circuit of the heavenly metropolis.
Anyway, it seems to be crowned champion, provided that:
Achieve a tenth place or not getting points, and no more than Webber and Vettel sixth than third place. In addition, Hamilton must win the race.
Finishing ninth, Webber would have to cross the finish line in a place fifth or higher, and Vettel be third or higher.
If you cross the finish line in seventh or eighth position , Webber third and Vettel should not have to win the race.
If Spanish ends in the fifth or sixth place , none of the pilots of the Red Bull team will win the race
Coming third or fourth, will be crowned champion as long as Webber is not the winner (would be second to two points) Finally, a second or first place, would secure the championship.
Formula 1 has to retrace his steps
As everyone knows, this year is still a walk to Michael Schumacher, who has already won his 7th world title. What you may not know all the world, is that the car in Formula 1 is too important. But it has not always been so. These years have been bad for the sport, that, in addition to the racing cars have gotten worse, decisions made by managers are not correct. And to top it off, Schumacher has been seen only with a car infinitely superior to the others, and with his teammate, by contract, could not fight for the title.
15 years ago, in 1989, McLaren won 15 of the 16 World Cup races. Only one not won at Monza, that the two pilots crashed together. But the championship was equally exciting. Why? Because both drivers wanted to win the world championship. It’s that simple. And let the fight McLaren, not Ferrari. And yet, got the constructors’ title with 199 points, and even managed to create controversy at the end of the season on the same computer. All that the two drivers, Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost were competitive and wanted to win the world title. Schumacher has never had (because he did not want) a teammate who could cast a shadow. That has been so successful harvest, which once would have gotten nowhere near. If McLaren for 15 years has been appointed to Senna and Prost as number 1 and number 2, probably the Brazilian would have gotten a lot more than those 3 titles, which, although not reach even half of those achieved by Schumacher, he are considered the best pilot ever. At the time, opponents and the attitude displayed in the track.
Moreover, the F1 today is much easier. The cars are too powerful, they have too many electronic aids, and the pilot has little presence. Should look back and re-use slick tires. Reducing the power of the cars, provided to encourage overtaking. All this, together with a qualifying session like 10 years ago, and a rivalry on the track by all the riders much greater than it is now, would get to make the sport more attractive F1 yet. Much safer and as attractive as 10 years ago.
Montevideo as a model for other locations
The organization was praised and it appears that the tournament will take place next year. Pure praise, is what it received by the organization Diego Perez of Uruguay stage of the Copa Petrobras, to the point that the highest authorities of the challenger trying to “use Montevideo as a model for other locations.”
After a contest that left good numbers, despite the punishment suffered by the rain, the Copa Petrobras Uruguay again won the respect and consideration of the analysts. “The bond that is achieved in Uruguay between players, public and Carrasco Lawn Tennis officials are pleased to let all and stick with such force that allows us to match many more powerful markets, “he told the director of Ovation celestial event. The former tennis great Uruguayan also confirmed that the day of the finals were at least 500 people assembled outside the stadium especially for the event.
That expectation, plus well-known fact that more and more people are interested in receiving a special invitation to attend the championship, works greatly for the competition again next year at Carrasco Lawn. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Diego Perez noted that the “decision of the authorities on the timing of the circuit is taken in March, April or May, although there are very good signs, yet do not rush or trust.”
