MotoGP prototypeThe Swiss chassis manufacturer Portuguese brought the bike track for the top category that aims to use in 2012 and is currently under development.

Suter chassis manufacturer on Wednesday concluded two days of testing at the Estoril circuit in MotoGP machine currently being developed in preparation for its entry into the MotoGP World Championship in 2012.
The Swiss-made prototype uses a BMW engine and has the team Marc VDS Racing Team as a partner for the project. The Suter is being designed to extract maximum advantage of the new technical regulations coming into force in 2012 and allowing a maximum engine capacity of 1000cc.

Taking advantage of the sunny day at Estoril, the test drivers and Carmelo Morales Damian Cudlin shot extensively with the advanced version of the machine, with an engine more powerful BMW S1000RR, electronic assembly completely revised and carbon brakes. This prototype had been tested before last November and again in February.

Morales, who currently competes in the category of the CEV Buckler Moto2 was the most active rider on the first day to complete three sets of ten laps Spanish pilot noted the remarkable progress made with the machine and noted the successful adaptation to Bridgestone tires which were mounted on Tuesday for the first time in the prototype. The Japanese manufacturer, official tire supplier for the MotoGP class, worked closely with the team and Suter throughout the day.

The Australian Cudlin expressed its conclusions at the end of the session on Wednesday: “It has taken some time to adjust to changes in the bike, especially with Bridgestone tires, carbon brakes and new electronics package, but we have work on the set of tests under our program here at Estoril.

“Undoubtedly, the bike has been improved since the tests we did at Jerez late last year, but there is still much work to do. Get a functioning electronic package will be essential for the bike is competitive, and this we have focused on the second day. We have seen some improvements and collected a large amount of data, but we need more track time to adjust everything properly.
