Bridgestone tires tested in 2012 in the Estoril test
Bridgestone full use of the official training held at the Estoril circuit on Monday after the race. In addition to the normal compounds assigned to the Review, the official tire supplier provided to each pilot test a slick front and two new rear slicks. The day was a valuable opportunity for Bridgestone to continue testing its tires, especially with the introduction of the 1000cc format in MotoGP starting next year.
Although the test was with the current 800cc bikes, the Japanese firm continues the crucial process of developing tires for the category, but now with a practical approach, specifically designed to fit the new regulation. Nippon technicians work to ensure the functioning of the new tires with a wide range of temperatures and also hope to offer to improve their response and handling.
The conditions for these tests were good, much better than during the weekend of Grand Prix. During the night after only a light drizzle fell and the track was much cleaner.
